Special Fund
BUD Special Fund is the "Special Fund for Brand Development, Upgrading and Domestic Market Expansion", launched by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in June 2012 to assist enterprises of business expansion and development in the mainland market through brand development, upgrading and transformation, and domestic market expansion.

Maximum funding amount Seven million Hong Kong dollars (The maximum subsidy for each application project is million Hong Kong dollars) Seven million Hong Kong dollars
Methods of Funding (Applicant enterprises: Choose 1 of 2 methods of funding) 1. Application for Initial funding:
The initial funding will be up to 75% of the total amount and the balance will be released upon completion.
2. Application without initial funding:
Project implementation for 18 months or less, the final balance will be released upon completion
Interim grants (not more than 50% of the total funding) may be applied for within 18-24 months after project implementation, and the balance will be released upon completion.
Principles of funding 1. Projects are counted as equals.
2. Funding of up to 50 per cent of approved expenditure.
3. Each project should last no more than 24 months.
